The Challenge

The goal was never to create another trend-driven fitness brand.

Marisol Pilates Studio was designed to feel established from day one — warm, elevated, and deeply intentional.

Inspired by vintage California, French Riviera hospitality, and the community fun of boutique beach clubs, the challenge was creating a wellness brand that felt premium without becoming sterile, exclusive, or expected.

Every detail needed to communicate longevity, belonging, and emotional connection before the studio doors had even opened.

Beyond Trend-Driven Wellness

Marisol Pilates Studio was created to feel less like a trendy fitness launch and more like a place with history, rhythm, and staying power.

Inspired by vintage California beach culture, Riviera nostalgia, and boutique hospitality spaces, the goal was to create a wellness brand that felt emotionally grounded rather than performative.

The challenge wasn’t simply standing out in a saturated wellness market.

It was creating a studio experience that felt warm, elevated, and deeply familiar before the doors had even opened.

Every visual decision needed to balance refinement with approachability — avoiding the cold minimalism and trend-heavy aesthetics dominating modern fitness branding.

The Strategy

Before designing the visual identity, the focus was defining the emotional experience behind the brand. The direction centered around a few key ideas:

  • Positioning the studio more like a boutique coastal club than a gym

  • Blending Riviera-inspired refinement with vintage California warmth

  • Creating a sense of longevity, familiarity, and belonging

  • Prioritizing atmosphere and emotional connection over performance culture

  • Designing a digital experience that felt editorial, immersive, and hospitality-driven

The final identity system was designed to feel timeless, playful, and quietly confident — building anticipation and emotional connection long before launch.

Designing the Digital Experience

The website was designed to feel less like a traditional fitness studio and more like discovering a boutique coastal destination online.

Large-scale imagery, layered typography, vintage-inspired details, and editorial pacing helped create an experience that felt immersive, warm, and emotionally driven from the very first scroll.

Every interaction was intentionally designed to build anticipation before launch — positioning Marisol as an established lifestyle brand rather than another new studio entering the market.

“Liz took all of my scattered Pinterest boards, ideas, and half-formed vision and somehow turned it into a brand that feels better than I could’ve imagined. She really listens, asks thoughtful questions, and makes the entire process feel organized, collaborative, and genuinely fun. Every detail felt intentional, and the final result feels so aligned with the atmosphere I wanted Marisol to have.”

The Outcome

Marisol Pilates Studio was designed to feel established long before opening day — creating a brand experience that feels immersive, emotional, and instantly recognizable within a saturated wellness market.

By blending vintage California nostalgia with Riviera-inspired refinement, the final identity positioned Marisol as more than a fitness studio: a lifestyle-driven destination rooted in warmth, community, and intentional design.

If your brand doesn’t reflect the level of your work, it’s time to fix that.
